Alan J. Rossi
"Microcredit is a promising tool for development. In 2004, the Development Gateway presented its annual award to Grameen Bank/Village Phone, recognizing how Grameen helps women entrepreneurs lift themselves from poverty while bringing communications services to isolated villages. We have a strategic focus on building enterprise, operate a web portal dedicated to the microfinance community, and will continue in 2005 to help expand opportunities for micro-, small, and midsized enterprises."
-- Alan J. Rossi, Chief Executive Officer, Development Gateway Foundation
