Set up as an apex level organization, with its outstanding
portfolio of over Rs. 660 Millions ($ 15 Million)
it works through a network of over 95 NGOs across
10 states of India, providing financial services
to poor women for investing in Income generating
activities.
FWWB India's core objective is to increase poor women's
access to financial services through its network
of partner organizations. This objective is achieved
by enabling the development of strong micro finance
providers that serve poor women. The programme clients
include the leaders and managers of micro finance
practitioner organizations, as well as leaders of
the women's savings and credit groups. Additionally,
FWWB also reaches important national and international
development agencies that are active in the micro
finance sector, including donors, bankers and academic
organizations..

to generate income on a sustainable basis. Micro
credit and other related financial services should
lead to Sustainable livelihood for which it is needed
to develop strong micro finance providers. One of
the core objectives of FWWB is to increase the access
to financial services through its network of partner
organizations. FWWB believes in building up partnership
between the private sector, mainstream-banking institutions,
and the Government alongwith the Non-Government Orgnaisations
and hopes that the International Year of Microcredit
2005 serves as a platform to strengthen such partnership
that would lead to providing financial services efficiently
