Grameen Foundation USA
Grameen Foundation USA (GF-USA) is a young, dynamic, global organization that partners with a broad network of grassroots microfinance institutions to empower the world's poorest people to lift themselves out of poverty with dignity. GF-USA seeks to harness the combined powers of microfinance, new technologies, and creative thinking to replicate, innovate, initiate, and accelerate the programs of our 46 partners in 20 countries throughout Asia, Africa, the Americas, and the Middle East. GF-USA is currently working to reach five million new borrowers, ensure that at least half of them escape poverty within five years, and champion innovation in the areas of financing, industry standards, and information and communications technology for poverty reduction.

Alex Counts
"Grameen Foundation USA proudly supports the 2005 International Year of Microcredit and the potential it has to give a final push to the world community to reach the goals of the Microcredit Summit Campaign. Our work to reduce poverty by increasing access to financial services and to information for the world's poorest people will get a big boost from the attention that the International Year brings to our movement."
