What are Country Profiles?
Many United Nations Member States have established National Committees on microfinance to promote the International Year of Microcredit activities. These National Committees have generated standardized summaries of their national microfinance sectors as a resource for donors, governments, organizations and agencies. We hope these summaries encourage the development of more inclusive financial sectors. The profiles for developing countries cover the following five areas:
